The final plan is checked by the building inspector to assure compliance with all the rules and regulations. 

The contractor must have all the required licenses and insurances and only then can the construction start.

The amount of time that it takes to get the plans approved for a building permit is always longer that it takes to build the entire deck.  It is best to start the application submission process as soon as possible so you can have the deck for the current season.

There are three levels of construction:

1. 1.Economy- low cost materials and simple design.
   

2. 2.Standard- mid level materials, moderate design.
   

3. 3.Luxury- upscale materials, complex design.
